A new moon shines over the National Library of Australia in Canberra as the lights go on for the Enlighten festival. All credit to the Electric Canvas and selected guest artists, and the people of Canberra and visitors. I only took the pictures. Thousands of people walked between the buildings whose management took part and allowed images to be projected onto their walls. Music, food and street entertainment were all there,
and all to the usual high standard.
Moody lighting on the bridge between the National Gallery of Australia and the National Portrait gallery was complemented with sounds this year, some very atmospheric,
some funny (Laughter House Entertainment).

The Old Parliament House walls present one very long canvas
The New Parliament House sits high on a hill,
with sky-pointing colours wheeling around (Circle of Light).
Parliamentary reflections
Some very confused parliamentary reflections
The theme running across most of the festivals light shows was rabbits, lots and lots of rabbits, of all shapes and sizes. This one was on the Library.
The tech kids in Questacon had a see-through image of a rabbit - 3D in video mode.
Very clever.
The National Portrait Gallery had what seemed like hundreds of portraits of rabbits,
in some very familiar, reminiscent poses.
It's amazing what lies in their archives.

People were all part of the event, here casting puppet silhouettes on the walls of

A giant rabbit and a boy on a giant's shoulders.
Thoughtful moments. But what were the people thinking?
It can be tiring being a giant rabbit, being gawped and pointed at all night.
So this one was a bit grumpy.
Look at the size of those ears.
A night for families to be out having fun.
